Where have the first three months of 2015 disappeared to?
It has been hectic since the new year, with only one weekend where we didn't have an event of some kind, and we spent that catching up on paperwork, web work and washing caravans of all things.
The year kicked off with the annual Burns Night Supper, Scottish Lunch and more recently, St Patrick's Party and Irish Family Lunch at the Premier Suite in Cannock. The atmosphere at these events are always great and this years was no exception, people had some laughs, a good dance and we got some great pictures to compare to last years events, and it turns out we were right, they get better every year.
Then from the warmth of indoors, we went outdoors for some fun and games in the sporting world with KP Events Xtreme obstacle race and Run and Ride's cyclce sportive and their excellent annual Winter Classic MTB event on Cannock Chase.
We had the pleasure of being invited to the Garrick Theatre in Lichfield to capture the fabulous show that Bojangles Dance Academy performed. We had a real result with the shots that were captured and we had the opportunity to display our photos at the dance school on our remote stations in the waiting area while we turned the costume shop into a makeshift print studio (we did turn it back at the end of day). We believe this was a fantastic day enjoyed by all.
Very recently we filmed the action for Matt Gough's Frontline Fighting League and Craig Tipton's Slugfest White Collar Boxing. Both nights had their ups, downs and outs, but both had some mean fighters who put on a exhilarating night of entertainment. These were the first of our video productions using multiple camera angles and audio feeds, plus full in house processing of the DVD's so we could be nit-picky about the result, and what a result, they have proved rather popular and we will be following more of these events over the year as they come up.
Our first weekend on the Mayhem Monster Truck for 2015 was at Buildwas in Telford. A weekend of V8 engines, 4x4's flying everywhere and the general buzz of these events is all we could ask for. The only managed to break the truck once, but after last years breakdowns and experience, it was fixed in minutes and back out entertaining the public. We will be seeing 'Maggie Mayhem' this weekend in Aldermaston, and we are expecting as much fun and excitement that this event always brings.
Watch this space folks.....You never know what event is next......
